The correct usage method of scented candles not only extends the lifespan of the candles, ensures the even diffusion of fragrance, but also avoids potential safety hazards. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

1. First use (key steps)

Trim the wick

Before lighting, use the wick trimmer to trim the wick to 0.5-0.8cm. Avoid having an excessively long wick that causes a large flame, black smoke, and uneven heating of the wax pool.

Allow the wax pool to burn fully

For the first lighting, keep burning for 2-4 hours until the wax on the surface melts completely to form a smooth wax pool. This step prevents the occurrence of "memory ring" (only the wick area melts, while the edge wax cannot be used) and maximizes the utilization of the wax.

Maintain ventilation

Place it in a well-ventilated area to avoid excessive fragrance concentration in a closed space. Also, keep away from air vents (such as air conditioners, fans) to prevent flame wobbling and wax splashing.

2. Daily usage steps

Trim the wick before each lighting

Repeat the trimming steps from the first use. If there is black ash from the burned wick, gently sweep it off to avoid falling into the wax pool and affecting the burning.

Choose the placement location

Place it on a fireproof, heat-resistant surface (such as ceramic candle holders, glass trays). Stay away from curtains, papers, and fabric items that are flammable, and avoid children and pets touching it.

Control the burning duration

The recommended single lighting duration is 2-4 hours, and do not exceed 6 hours. Excessive burning can cause the wax liquid to overheat, potentially leading to the cracking of the candle cup, and the rapid diffusion of fragrance can affect the olfactory experience.

Properly extinguish the candle

It is recommended to use a candle extinguisher: Place it over the flame to isolate the air and extinguish it quietly without black smoke. This is the safest method.

Avoid blowing out with your mouth: Blowing can produce black smoke, pollute the environment, and may splash wax.

If you don't have a candle extinguisher, use a metal stick to gently press the wick into the wax liquid to extinguish it, then straighten the wick before placing it back. III. Usage Notes

Removal of remaining wax

When there is 0.5 - 1 cm of remaining wax in the candle, it is recommended to stop using it to avoid overheating at the bottom and damaging the candle holder or causing danger. The remaining wax can be scooped out and used in a wax melting lamp, or made into a scented wax card.

Avoid using in special environments

Do not light it near the bed or beside the pillow. Do not use it when sleeping.

Avoid storing it in damp or hot environments to prevent the wax from softening and deforming.

Cleaning and maintenance

If there are wax stains on the inner wall of the candle cup, place the candle cup in the refrigerator for 1 - 2 hours. After the wax contracts, it can be easily removed.

Glass candle cups can be reused after cleaning and can be used as a storage container for small items.

VII. Usage Tips for Different Scenarios

Bedroom: Choose scents like lavender and chamomile for sleep aid. Light it 1 hour before bedtime to create a soothing atmosphere.

Living room / Study: Choose scents like citrus and woody tones to enhance the space's vitality. Light it for 2 hours each time.

Bathroom: Light it during bathing. The combination of fragrance and water vapor creates a stronger atmosphere. Be careful to keep it away from water faucets and water accumulation areas.
